The Jacket Challenge

FineFabricShops.com has issued a challenge to all of its members and we want Elfriede's Fine Fabrics to win!The challenge rules are simple: buy some fabric and make the jacket of your dreams before February 26th. All participants will receive a $25 gift certificate! All participants are welcome to joing a free session of Sewing on Sunday, on January 31, to enjoy the camaraderie of other participants and to get any desired sewing assistance. all jacket entries will be displayed in the store during the first week in March, so that we can all vote. Our most popular selection will go to Las Vegas to represent Elfriede's Fine Fabrics at the nationwide Jacket Challenge. You can pick up an entry form at the shop, with all the details. Or, here is a copy of the Rules of the Road:

· Make a jacket (woman’s or man’s) either from a commercial pattern or your own design.

· The principal fabric (and pattern, if used) must be purchased at the participating store between November 2009 and February 2010. A copy of the receipt is to accompany this entry form and is required for a valid entry. (See Elfriede if you have lost your receipt and need a new one.)

· Submit your jacket to your local participating store by Friday, February 26, 2010.

· All participants are welcome to come to the free Sewing on Sunday session on January 31, 2010.

· All participants will receive a $25 gift certificate.

· All jackets will be left at the store for display and voting until March 5, 2010.

· Participants agree to have the jacket photographed for promotional purposes. This includes for the store website, social media sites, etc.

· All participants agree to allow their entry to be displayed at the participating store and other national venues.

· Your local participating store will take all precautions to protect your entry from damage or loss, but will not be responsible for damage or loss that may inadvertently occur.

· The garment that is selected to represent Elfriede’s Fine Fabrics in Las Vegas will be eligible to be in a Threads Magazine article and/or in a fashion show in Las Vegas, March 2010 at the International Textile Expo.
